Join the team at Austell Gas System as a Data Entry Analyst in a fully remote role. In this remote-enabled position, you will excel in handling and interpreting data from remote systems to drive operational efficiencies within our utility-services organization. Working entirely remote, you’ll contribute to bridging the gap between field operations, customer analytics, and corporate support teams. This remote workflow makes your home office an integral hub for data that impacts on-site service delivery and strategic insights.
The remote nature of this role allows you to coordinate with remote colleagues, field crews, and on-site staff to ensure that our data pipelines remain accurate, accessible and aligned with our mission of providing safe and reliable natural-gas service. With your remote support, you’ll help ensure that critical datasets are used effectively to streamline operations and support decision-making across the entire organization.
Perform detailed data entry and analysis from a remote workspace, capturing key metrics related to customer accounts, service usage, pipeline monitoring and operational performance.
Validate, clean and reconcile remote datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness, and support remote-desktop or remote workflow systems.
Develop remote dashboards, summary reports and performance indicators for remote review by operations, management and on-site teams.
Collaborate virtually with remote and in-field personnel to identify data needs, clarify anomalies and ensure alignment between remote systems and on-site realities.
Maintain version control and remote archive systems so that data remains secure, audit-ready and accessible from remote platforms and on-site terminals when needed.
Monitor data-quality trends, highlight and report deviations from standard performance, and recommend process improvements for better remote data stewardship.
Provide remote support for audits, regulatory compliance and documentation requests by generating remote extract files and sharing them with remote and on-site stakeholders.
Recommend and implement remote-friendly tools, templates and processes to enhance data-entry and analytic workflows and support remote teams’ productivity.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certificate in data analytics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry, data analytics or related administrative support roles; previous experience in a remote environment is an advantage.
Proficiency with spreadsheet software, database platforms and remote collaboration systems; comfortable operating from a remote location and partnering with remote stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks independently and consistently in a remote work setting.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace free from distractions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate seamlessly with both remote and on-site team members.
Self-motivated, disciplined and capable of thriving in a remote role with minimal direct supervision.
Solid understanding of data-confidentiality, version control and remote-data-management best practices.
Competitive hourly rate of $28–$34 per hour for a remote-based role.
