Tariff Analyst College Co-op

Job Description Summary

AAM is searching for a student pursuing a degree in accounting or finance to join our Corporate Finance team, which is based at AAM’s World Headquarters in Detroit, MI. As a College Co-Op, you will be primarily focused on the development of tools to monitor tariff impacts incurred by AAM. In addition, this position will work on metal market and transfer pricing projects as time permits.

Job Description

• Responsible for learning all aspects of how tariffs are impacting AAM’s costs, how tariffs are being paid to suppliers and government entities as well as how AAM is engaging with all stakeholders on this topic to mitigate negative impacts to AAM.
• Responsible for audit of tariff related payments made directly to suppliers and helping as needed in the approval and processing of tariff payments to suppliers.
• Responsible for maintaining an archive of tariff payment data that will be used in AAM’s ongoing tariff tracking.
• Responsible for assisting with investigation of tariffs paid directly to Government entities where impacts are not understood.
• All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree fulltime in accounting, finance or related field with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
• Available to work 30-40 hours a week year-round.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be able to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship
