Responsible for supervising a team of Crew Chiefs and mechanics as a key member of the dynamic and fast-paced American Airlines Maintenance organization.What you'll doLeads by example, coaches our team members to success and builds trustworthy relationshipsManages the daily Production requirements through subordinatesEnsures team members are following procedures in order to ensure maximum efficiency, compliance and safetyLeads staff to ensure team member's skills are utilized to the highest degree possible; leads coordination with Maintenance Training to ensure on-going enhancement of staff and skill setConducts regular meetings with Business Reviews and Boardwalks to ensure best possible communication, identification, and resolution of action itemsMonitors the coordination of maintenance manpower requirements overtime and consistency with program scheduling and prioritiesMaintains effective communication between Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities Maintenance and other Supply Chain groupsEnsures team members know, understand and are engaged in achieving critical Metrics and key performance indicatorsExecutes manpower deployment and shift production requirementsAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalency3 years of aircraft maintenance experienceFAA Airframe & Powerplant CertificateMust pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicableMust be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicablePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience1 year leadership experience supervising production operation in an area related to heavy/shop maintenanceExperience supervising and/or leading workgroupsSkills, Licenses & CertificationsA&P LicenseStrong working knowledge of the GPM and SPPMUnderstanding of Airline/Technical operationsKnowledge of audit requirementsKnowledge of labor reporting and crew utilizationStrong interpersonal and PC skillsAbility to concurrently manage multiple areas of responsibility.Excellent analytical, organization and planning skillsMust pass a background reference check and criminal fingerprint checkAbility to work effectively with all levels of team members What you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
