Job Summary

We are looking for a Sr. Software Validation Engineer. This open position requires a relentless drive to success while working in an efficient, dynamic and agile systems focused engineering environment. You will have an opportunity to work in a hybrid virtual environment, with access to our world-class product development center.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead validation of Power Drive Module (PDM) software by working closely with PDM component owners and Design engineers.
  • Define, develop, and execute hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) tests validating all software requirements pertaining to the Power Drive Module.
  • Develop and implement custom test functions and sequences using National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW, Veristand, and TestStand.
  • Provide clear documentation of test cases, test results and analysis of PDM software functions.
  • Interface with other components of the vehicle to make sure PDM integrates well with the rest of the system.
  • Lead complete regression testing of PDM software for each software release.
  • Troubleshoot all issues that arise with the PDM functions and drive root cause analysis.
  • Utilize third-party software tools to log and share data with other test labs within LiveWire.

Education Requirements

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or similar studies.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven track record of software validation experience with power electronic converters or motor drives.
  • Deep understanding of hardware and software functions related to power electronic converters.
  • Good experience working with vehicle communications networks and protocols (CAN, UDS)
  • Familiarity with J1772, ISO26262 etc.
  • Experience in software development process associated with automotive type embedded systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in the following is also preferred:

  • Experience with National Instruments software and hardware or similar
  • Experience with NI LabVIEW, Veristand, and TestStand or similar
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink modeling and simulation model development/integration
  • Experience in test automation
  • Experience in Agile with respective tools such as JIRA, Confluence.

Pay Range: $103,000 - $155,000

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
