The Pharmacy Technician assists in providing pharmaceutical services, working under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role involves dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The technician may also be involved in preparing non-hazardous IV medications, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of medications and patient information.
- Prepare non-hazardous IV medications (if experienced).
- Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notify appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Perform any other related duties (e.g., clerical, technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Pharmacy Technician certification
- AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- IV room experience for non-hazardous medications
Special Considerations:
- Weekends are required.
Scheduling:
- Shifts are from 0730-1800.
