Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in cloud, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. Perform advanced query tuning and optimization to enhance database performance and efficiency. Manage and monitor production Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness. Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN and Data Guard. Develop and enforce database security policies, access controls, and auditing procedures. Plan and execute migration of on-premise Oracle databases to Azure Cloud, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime. Provide expert-level support for Oracle 19c and later versions, including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting. (Optional) Leverage knowledge of Oracle 23ai features for future database enhancements and migrations. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design and application performance. Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent outages. Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies. Review and provide critical logging aspects of database focusing on DB optimization, error logging, and ability to enhance performance for DB while on prem and on cloud post migration.
