Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our team in Wellington, Florida. This Contract to permanent position requires someone who is organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple tasks within a legal environment. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in personal injury pre-litigation and demonstrate strong communication skills. Responsibilities: - Maintain and manage attorney calendars to ensure appointments, deadlines, and meetings are accurately scheduled. - Assist in handling personal injury pre-litigation processes, including gathering and organizing necessary information. - Request, review, and organize medical records and other relevant documentation. - Communicate effectively with insurance providers to follow up on claims and inquiries. - Scan, file, and organize documents to ensure proper record-keeping and easy retrieval. - Coordinate and prepare files for legal proceedings, ensuring all required materials are complete and accessible. - Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including drafting correspondence and managing client communications. - Ensure files are updated and organized to facilitate efficient case management. - Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. - Collaborate with team members to support the overall legal workflow and operations. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in a legal assistant or secretary role. - Knowledge of personal injury law and pre-litigation processes is strongly preferred. - Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling tools. - Ability to organize files and documents with a high degree of accuracy. - Familiarity with handling medical records and insurance-related tasks. - Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and insurance providers. - Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all legal matters.
