Description The Health Informatics Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving the development of innovative analytics solutions for UCLA Health and Health Sciences. By gathering business needs, documenting requirements, identifying key data sources, and crafting insightful reports and visualizations, you will directly impact stakeholder decision-making. As a Health Informatics Analyst, you will offer analytical support for health management, including profiling, health economics, and business performance metrics. Mastery of relevant software applications and a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, and constraints are essential. You will work closely with the Manager of Analytics Solutions and the Director of Enterprise Analytics to prioritize work and manage escalated issues. This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least twice a week or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the 'home office' location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary. Salary offers are based on various factors, including qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $95,900 - $222,000 annually, with the budgeted range expected to fall between the minimum and midpoint. As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer. Qualifications SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE + 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related organization + 5+ years demonstrated expertise in MS SQL Server or Oracle + Epic Clarity Data Model certification in one or more modules strongly preferred (incumbent will be required to obtain their certification within 6 months of hire) + Epic build experience in a live environment strongly preferred + Epic implementation experience specific to clinical workflows and order management strongly preferred + Experience in visualization development with the use of Tableau and/or PowerBI strongly preferred + Strong SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL Server/Oracle platforms) + Extensive knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data modeling and structures, visualizations and reporting + Extensive knowledge of SAP Business Objects architecture, functions, features, and capabilities + Extensive knowledge of best practices regarding reporting, workflows, policies, procedures, systems and culture in the healthcare environment + Strong analytical, problem-solving and metadata skills + Ability to quickly learn various clinical and business domains + Ability to synthesize information to identify opportunities to create new solutions and evaluate those solutions to ensure that they are effective + Experience in gathering, documenting, prioritizing and tracking requirements + Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation + Must recognize and evaluate problems, and refer to the appropriate channels for action + High functioning team skills, including active listening and rapport building + Effective written & verbal communication + Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements + Ability to identify, document, resolve and/or escalate issues and maintain a complete issues log + Ability to accurately and precisely estimate development time + Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks while maintain timelines + Ability to work independently with general direction + Ability to work effectively as a team player with people of all backgrounds and at all levels + Ability to establish and achieve goals + Ability to establish and maintain a spirit of cooperation and respect, flourish in an unstructured environment, and always engage in professional and ethical conduct + Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations + Ability to manage ambiguity General (Soft Skills) + Customer focus + Outcomes/Results-oriented + Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence + Team player + Adaptable/Ability to shift focus + Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities + Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills + Demonstrated conflict resolution skills + Self-directed UCLA Health welcomes all individuals, without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin or disabilities, and we proudly look to each person's unique achievements and experiences to further set us apart.
