Job Description

You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, develop your skills, and help ensure high-quality electronic system installations.

 

Position – Electronic Systems Field Technician

Job Location – Hudson, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Starting Pay – $25–$30 per hour, based on experience

Required Education – High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience – Minimum 5 years installing and programming audio/video, lighting, and electronic systems. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills required.

Preferred Licenses & Certifications – PLT (Power Limited Technician), ELAN, Control4, URC Systems

 

The Electronic Systems Field Technician is responsible for installing, programming, and troubleshooting a variety of electronic systems for residential and commercial clients. This includes A/V systems, home theater setups, lighting and shades, and security/access control systems. You will ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards while maintaining a professional work environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and program audio/video systems, lighting controls, and security/access systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and client specifications.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and team members.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and clean.
  • Follow company procedures and adhere to safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with system technologies and installation practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion and client satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in audio/video and electronic system installation.
  • Technical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive, professional, and communicative with clients and team members.
  • Preferred: PLT license, ELAN, Control4, or URC certifications.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials as needed.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and performing hands-on technical tasks.
