Department Summary

We are seeking a strategic and high impact HR professional to lead EchoStar’s Talent Acquisition function. This role is a key member of the executive HR leadership team and responsible for ensuring successful delivery of best practice talent acquisition across the various brands of EchoStar, including but not limited to DISH TV, Sling, Boost Mobile, Hughes, etc. In partnership with key business leaders and functions throughout the organization, this position is responsible for leading the delivery of recruitment and hiring for Professional, Frontline, Executive and College recruiting functional areas, in addition to the infrastructure and enablement teams that enable the Talent Acquisition team to attract high-quality talent for all lines of business within the organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a high performing, energetic and passionate team to ensure growth and success.
  • Attract, lead, and manage a team of 70+ recruitment team members to ensure retention, development, and growth of talented people.
  • Stakeholder management at all levels of the organization to support the hiring goals of each business unit.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with each HR function to drive team business results, including Talent Management, Learning & Development, HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, HR Operations and Technology teams.
  • Define, manage and deliver against annual Talent Acquisition Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Leverage data to identify insights and trends to inform the Talent Acquisition team delivery, strategy and direction.
  • Drive efforts to maximize all recruiting, recruitment system (ATS) functionality and AI opportunities within the Talent Acquisition function.
  • Manage ongoing efforts to promote EchoStar’s employment brand and recruitment marketing initiatives to attract top talent.
  • Manage and maintain the recruiting budget in a creative and strategic manner, including partnering with Finance to build and reconcile the budget ongoing.
  • Identify, plan, and implement key projects to improve quality, increase productivity, decrease time to hire and improve candidate, new hire and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of emerging talent acquisition technologies and trends, evaluating and implementing innovative solutions to optimize recruitment processes.
  • Ensure all talent acquisition practices are compliant with relevant labor laws and regulations, mitigating recruitment-related risks.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

A successful candidate will have the following: 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree and 10+ years of solid knowledge and experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) of full lifecycle recruitment.
  • Corporate, Field, and University Relations experience (including creating & implementing performance improvement and learning strategies) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate all levels of management and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with extensive experience creating and delivering presentations for the executive leadership team.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills.
  • Ability to stand firm and remain committed when necessary and facilitates discussion and understanding when difficult decisions must be made and executed.
  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results-driven, rapidly changing environment - with minimal daily oversight.
  • Ability to travel depending on business demands.
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $200,000.00/Year - $250,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
