Description:

The ideal candidate must be proficient with IBM Rational Suite of Tools, specifically (ClearQuest – ClearCase) and building/deploying software & application builds. The candidate must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while working independently with Program Team members. The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate a clear understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle necessary to perform configuration management (CM). The ideal candidate must have the soft skills to positively interact with program team members and our client. 

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance.  

Rate: $50 - $55 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Administer IBM Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest tools in each environment including applying fix packs and upgrades.
  • Perform ClearCase and ClearQuest tool enhancements and customization using Visual Basic, VBScript, Perl and SQL.
  • Execute on-demand builds/deployment (for J2EE and .Net applications) in accordance with CM procedures
  • Carry out Configuration Management QA of artifacts.
  • Control changes and maintain the integrity of all application development & program artifacts.
  • Identify configuration items, audit changes made and manage configurations throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Liaise between the project team, facilitating software defect identification and resolution.
  • Ensure versioning of configuration items are selected for change or implementation.
  • Create and document Configuration Management procedures.
  • Augment the Customer Service Center as scheduled or needed.
  • Periodically schedule availability to cover on site late shift hours as scheduled.
  • Perform other assignments as designated by the Operations Manager.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ specific experience with IBM Rational tools administration including installation, upgrades and configuration of IBM Rational ClearQuest and ClearCase (preferably 9.x and above) UCM administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop ClearQuest schemas
  • Demonstrated experience working with IBM Rational ClearCase VOB administration, ClearQuest administration, enhancement, design (CQ Designer) and customization processes using Visual Basic, SQL, and/or Perl.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and update SQL Server database, DB2 databases, and Data Studio
  • Demonstrated experience having Installed and configured Rational Application Developer (RAD: preferably 9.x and above) or Eclipse and Visual Studio (preferably 20xx and above)
  • Understanding and proficiency with performed software builds (for J2EE and .Net applications).
  • Demonstrated experience performing software deployments in WebSphere and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated proficiency using, debugging, and writing build scripts in: ANT, MS Build, and PowerShell
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Rational Application Developer/ANT and Visual Studio/MS Build
  • Demonstrated experience working in or using Virtual Environments (VMware, AWS, Azure)
  • Demonstrated experience using and managing integration with other IBM Software Development Lifecycle tools
  • Demonstrated experience supporting teams with ClearCase and ClearQuest tools in both Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with MS Excel, MS Project, SQL, Visio, and TechSmith Snag-it.
  • Experience in writing Perl, Power shell scripting, VBScripts in support of ClearQuest and/or ClearCase
  • Experience with software builds and build processes using DevSecOps methodologies
  • Must be detail oriented and able to carry out appropriate QA/Validations during build/deployments.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills with emphasis on details and validation.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a CMMI Software Development framework

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
