Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI). Project Manager for the Client, within the Office of Strategic Communication (project management for UW websites & digital products) Tasks/Job Responsibilities include: Project Planning and Execution: Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams, managing tasks, budget, scope, and timeline while applying project management methodologies to overcome obstacles and ensure successful project delivery. Team Coordination and Prioritization: Collaborate with the Digital Director to set team priorities and roadmap, and ensure effective communication between designers, developers, and writers to maintain focus on project goals and deadlines. Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle, from initial conception to status reporting. Skills Needed: Minimum of two years experience managing website / web application projects. Minimum of two years experience setting project goals, scope, and timeline, as well as regularly reporting on project status and forecasting team workload. Minimum of two years experience using Asana, GitLab, or similar project management platform. Nice to have: Experience with both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies. Project management certification such as Scrum certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
