IGT (International Game Technology) seeks a Junior Audio Designer with a passion for creating audio for games to join our audio department in Sydney (Australia) and make premium-quality game audio assets for land-based slot machines. As the successful candidate, you will become part of the audio design team that collaborates with multiple disciplines across all our studios in the Asia Pacific region to produce world-class sound design, voice over, and audio systems for the next generation of games.
This is a full-time, 2-year minimum contract with an opportunity to convert to a full-time permanent position at the end of the contractual period. Hybrid working arrangements are possible, however, you will be required to attend the Macquarie Park NSW office Tuesday-Thursday with a choice to work from home Monday and Friday.
This is predominantly a sound design, audio engineering and technical audio role. No compositional experience is needed; however, music mixing/mastering are essential aspects of the role. Experience and training with audio systems within Unity will be very highly regarded.
As an audio specialist, you will be responsible for audio asset development, audio mixing/mastering, and testing for our games, so training and experience with audio theory, production tools, systems, processes, techniques, project management, and communication is crucial.
In the absence of relevant work history, we will consider your tertiary qualification or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. Casino gaming experience is an advantage, but not essential, and audio production skillsets from other industries will be highly regarded.
