The successful candidate should:
Hold a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or in a related discipline;
Show promise toward developing a competitively funded research program;
Have the capacity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses ranging
from entry-level organic chemistry to an area of the candidate\'s expertise;Be able to successfully mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate
master\'s and doctoral students, in addition to providing professional contributions and service.Have the potential to contribute to the advancement of Our Common Ground
principles (see below) in the department.Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will assume a range of responsibilities that
include:Maintaining an active research program, securing external funding, and
publishing in peer-reviewed journals;Teaching and advising in the department\'s undergraduate and graduate
programs;Collaborating with Department of Chemistry faculty in governance,
program development, scholarship, and service;Serving as an active member of relevant scholarly societies and/or
professional associations;Engaging in service and outreach activities at the college, university,
regional, state, national and international levels.Contribute to efforts that advance Our Common Ground values (see below).
